“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”
~ C.S. Lewis
Last weekend was the pre-launch of my book Big Little Breath. Community gathered to receive a talk and a breathwork journey. The room was filled with friends, new faces, and some much needed charm.
I spoke about Big Little Breath for the first time, engaged in a Q & A with my editor Bella, taught some key themes from the chapters, and guided a profound breathwork class.
I was shitting myself quietly, but inspired by everyone who reflected to me that THIS is the path. Especially the conversations I had with people who don’t downplay their talents or no longer want to negotiate their power by staying little. Showing up and sharing your BIG light when you’re afraid is not comfortable, it’s absolutely necessary.
How else will we prepare for storms, uncertainty and helping others through their mountains?
The creative process of writing a book, or starting a project, or healing your traumas is just the beginning of something much greater than you. A pre-lude.
The letters ‘pre’ begin the word ‘prefix’ meaning ‘before’.
A suggestion of what’s to come and what’s coming to us. A time to pause and ponder.
Somehow we’re always preparing our bodies, minds and spirits for the inevitable event that’s going to change us. Not chasing the charm, but allowing the charm to find us exactly as we are; not ever ready, not expecting, and not perfect.
Pre is the first courageous step your intuition nudges you to take.
Pre-season, pre-reading, pre-practice, pre-wedding, pre-game, pre-menstrual, pre-meal, pre-21st century, pre-leaping, pre-order.
The letters Pre are also contained in ‘present’. Being present; the only thing that matters before our pre-death life. A chance to enjoy moments before they become memories.
If your soul could speak it would say, this inhale is not a dress rehearsal, every breath counts babe.
And so while August 14th publication day approaches, I’m in this next month for the long pre and post game, going where the energy wants to flow. A sustainable birthday celebration and all its post glow.
Just. Getting. Started.
Thanks for being here,
Love T. x

COMMUNITY WEEKLY CLASSES @YOGALYFE
Tuesdays. There is an energy that binds this gathering and it is like a creative re-fuelling station each week. People who are drawn to breathwork want to know themselves beyond the surface of everyday unconscious breathing. The breath is connected to freedom from fear and deeper states of love and connection. It shows us where we’re participating in shadows and the insights our soul is longing to communicate. It gives us a spiritful kick up butt when we need it and shows us the truth when we avoid it. Overall, it grows in power when shared in groups.
Following each session with Yin is the soothing integration that make these mornings a retreat.
Breathwork, 9:30am
